As a consequence of the successful start of the ECOPROFIT® project in Munich in 1998 and the intensive efforts of Ulfried Müller to grow the number of ECOPROFIT®-municipalities in Germany, there are currently 65 German ECOPROFIT®-projects in progress or successfully finished.

All German cities/regions, that are currently executing ECOPROFIT® have acquired, through signing a licence agreement with the City of Graz, the authorisation to use the trademark ECOPROFIT® and to pass it on to their companies through the certification.

Furthermore a German ECOPROFIT®-Network was developed, which organises biannual meetings to intensify the contacts between the ECOPROFIT®-municipalities, to exchange news and discuss further developments. A database for ECOPROFIT®-measures on http://www.arqum.de/datenbank/index.php was introduced, which shows a lot of interesting information.
