Thermoprofit PLUS is a quality label for ecological building renovations. It was developed in the framework of the EU-project 'New services for ecological building renovation'. The project was funded through the LIFE Program of the European Union.

The objectives of the project were to develop and activate the market for ecological building renovations. Ecological building renovation means for example to reduce energy usage, use ecological materials and produce less waste.

A market upturn should be achieved by introducing Thermoprofit PLUS als a quality label for ecological services in the market: Furthermore a network of qualified suppliers was established and the demand was stimulated through information and marketing activities.

Through a model-renovation of 3 buildings the participants gained experiences in ecological evaluation of buildings, bidding, execution and quality control.

The project duration was October 1999 to October 2001. The project was coordinated and conducted by the Graz Energy Agency and supported by the CPC Austria.
